The assassination of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh is the latest assassination of individuals and scientists in Iran. He affiliates with the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program. This assassination show the influence of foreign spy organizations in Iran, along with the creation of assassination and destruction teams. At the same time, this issue shows the inefficiency of the intelligence services of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was head of the Research and Innovation Organization of the Ministry of Defense of the Islamic Republic. As the father of Iran’s nuclear and missile programs, he was targeted in an attack in the “Absard” area. One of Fakhrizadeh’s bodyguards also killed during an armed confrontation. It was also involving in the horrific explosion of a car bomb. But all the attackers managed to escape. In yesterday’s assassination, Israel and the United States considered as the victims of this attack.
Details of the assassination
According to Fars News Agency, a car belonging to Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards, will enter “Absard” at around 2:00 PM on Friday, the 7th of Azar. One kilometer in front of the entrance to the city of “Absard” and near a garden known as the Colonel’s Garden, the car stopped by a machine gun, and then a Nissan car full of wooden beams exploded.
After the explosion of this car, up to 500 meters, the street filled with pieces of the car. Due to the damage to the electric tower after the explosion, the electricity of Absard city was also down.
With the explosion of armed assailants who had been lurking around, they started shooting at Mohsen Fakhrizadeh’s car from unknown places. One of the bodyguards, who puts the car in the path of the barrage to protect the life of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, killed at the same time.
However, this did not prevent Fakhri Zadeh from being shot, and he was seriously injured. After the shootings subsided, several terrorists fled and the search for their hiding place in the Damavand area continued.
Immediately after the end of the conflict, Fakhrizadeh transferred to the Absard city clinic. He was taking to the hospital by helicopter after 30 minutes. Fakhrizadeh died of his injuries after arriving at the hospital.
Who was Mohsen Fakhrizadeh ?
Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, head of the Research and Innovation Organization of the Ministry of Defense and Support of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, described by the official and semi-official Iranian media as a “prominent nuclear scientist” and one of the most efficient nuclear and defense industry experts, especially his father. According to the Iran Nuclear Defense Program, a “former senior member of the Revolutionary Guards” killed in a “missile attack” on Friday, December 29, at the Damavand Dam, two kilometers east of Tehran, in a planned attack. He was born in 1996 in Qom.
Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, unlike many other Iranian Revolutionary Guards commanders who have always covered the entire public space of the country, not only lived more “in secret”, but also did not know much about him. Even after his death, the Iranian media have not published much information about him other than the year and place of his birth and calling him a “scientist.” Sources who have called him a professor at Imam Hussein University have remained silent about where he was educated.
Although his name has been on the UN sanctions list since March 7, along with seven other people involving in Iran’s “nuclear and missile development program,” much has been said about him. It was not published in Iranian publications.
Mohsen Fakhri-Zadeh has become better known since Netanyahu referred to the documents from Iran. at his press conference in 1990. His name was mentioning in these documents as the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s nuclear program since 1996. The Israeli prime minister called him the “shadow man” of Iran’s nuclear program.
